Mushroom & Tomato Pizza

Ingredients-

For the sauce

  • Fresh Tomato – 1 big pureed

  • Tomato sauce- 1/4th cup

  • Tomato paste- 4 tablespoons

  • Garlic- 4 cloves( grated)

  • Italian herb seasoning- 1/2 teaspoon

For the Topping-

  • Tomatoes- 2 big sliced into thin rounds

  • Onion- 1 big sliced thin

  • Mushrooms- one cup sliced

  • sliced Mozzarella cheese- 1 and a half cups

Method-

For the sauce-

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan and add garlic

  • Sauté for a minute, then add pureed fresh tomato cook for one minute.

  • Add tomato sauce and tomato paste, mix well

  • Add pepper, salt to taste, and herb seasoning.

  • Cook till the sauce is mixed well and thick.

For the Pizza

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

  • In a pan heat oil and add onions, saute till translucent.

  • Add mushrooms and cook on high for a few minutes.

  • Apply the sauce on the pizza base, spreading evenly.

  • Spread a layer of this mushroom onion mixture nicely.

  • Now arrange round slices of tomatoes on top.

  • Cover the pizza with a thick layer of sliced mozzarella cheese.

  • Cook in the oven for about 20 minutes or till the cheese is melted nd golden brown.

  • Garnish with red chili flakes and oregano, serve hot.
